Fruit from Long Island was vinified with pump-overs for gentle extraction of color and tannins. A two week maceration was followed by malolactic fermentation and barrel aging. The resulting wine has rich, earthy aromas of ripe plum dark berry fruits, leather and a touch of cinnamon with soft, dark fruit flavors and a smooth finish.
