Clinton Wineries

Since 1977 Clinton Vineyards, in the tradition of the premier European estates, has chosen to specialize in growing Seyval Blanc, a French American grape, from which Estate Bottled white wine, dessert wine and sparkling wines–made in the time-honored méthode champenoise. The Seyval Blanc has been described as having a Chablis-type raciness and often compared with Sancerre. The wines have received rave reviews from the New York Times and other publications. The portfolio includes a stunning array of dessert wines. The Cassis, an elegant black currant dessert wine is the only wine in New York State to win gold medals and Best In Class at the Los Angeles International Wine Competition. Clinton Vineyards is the ideal setting for memorable celebrations. Delight in a tasting of remarkable wines and experience the beauty and intimacy of the estate. Open year round Thursday–Monday from noon–5 p.m. and from noon–6 p.m. in summer. Other days by appointment.

Millbrook Wineries

Millbrook Vineyards & Winery, located three miles north of the picturesque village of Millbrook, is considered one of the top wineries not only of the Hudson River Valley, but all of New York State. Millbrook’s world-class wines such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Franc have won acclaim from critics and consumers alike. Learn about the entire winemaking process on our fully guided tours, and then stay for a wine tasting to discover what wine enthusiasts have been raving about. After your tasting, take a stroll on our 130-acre estate with three beautiful ponds and scenic views. Tours and wine tastings are offered year round, seven days a week from 12:00–5:00 p.m., with extended hours of 11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Alison Wines

Alison Wines & Vineyards in Red Hook is the Valley’s newest producer of fine red and white wines created from the noble french varieties. Winemaker Richard Lewit handcrafts his wines to reflect the unique climate and growing conditions found in New York. All winemaking and barrel aging takes place in a converted dairy barn, parts of which date back to the 1840s. Tours and tastings are conducted in an intimate setting which encourages a deeper appreciation of wine and wine-making. From the winery grounds you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Catskill Mountains or visit the adjacent Greig Farm. The winery is close to inns, antiques, theaters, and beautiful parks along the scenic Hudson River where you can picnic, walk or hike.
